We supply speed controllers designed specifically for electric vehicle conversions. Our controllers are able to handle the high voltages and amperages necessary to make your electric vehicle conversion safe for use both in the city and on the highway. AC speed controllers provide a precise sine-wave output signal that has to be designed for a specific AC motor, and have high-efficiency regenerative braking capabilities and higher continuous power output, but are very expensive. DC speed controllers usually work with any permanent magnet DC motor, with performance directly tied to amperage capacities. Regenerative braking is usually not used with DC motors due to low efficiency, but efficiency is comparable to AC speed controllers, and costs are much lower.
